HOUSTON, TX Oct. 08— Dorf Ketal Chemicals LLC, a leading global additives and process chemicals company, has named William Loven as president, lubes and additives, United States division. Loven will head the Mumbai, India-based company’s integration of recent acquisitions and oversee renewed expansion strategies. 

“Bill brings decades of experience and relationships in the specialty chemical industry to Dorf Ketal,” said Subodh Menon, president and CEO, Dorf Ketal. “We brought him onboard to lead efforts in North America and continue integrating our recent acquisitions. He possesses a solid track record in driving growth and defining strategic acquisitions.”

Loven joins Dorf Ketal from Switzerland-based Sika North America, a leading specialty chemicals supplier. During his six years with the company, Loven served as president and CEO, North America, and senior vice president, overseeing multiple divisions exceeding $350 million in annual revenues. Prior to Sika, Loven served as general manager at Illinois Tool Works, Inc., a Fortune 500 company. While there, Loven headed up the company’s Plexus adhesives business unit.

Timothy Schroeder Joins Dorf Ketal
Houstonian moves into role of technical service manager

HOUSTON, Dec. 13 – The U.S. division of Dorf Ketal Chemicals LLC has hired Tim Schroeder as a technical service manager.  In the new position, Schroeder will integrate the company’s growing synthetic lubricant additives business resulting from Dorf Ketal’s acquisition of ExxonMobil Chemical’s component additive division earlier this year.

“Tim brings a lot to the team,” notes Bill Loven, president, lubes and additives, U. S. division.  “As a result of recent acquisitions and enhanced services, Dorf Ketal is   expanding; Tim’s experience will help us meet the needs of independent lube-oil manufacturers and other customers.”

Prior to joining Dorf Ketal, Tim was a research chemist and account manager at Tomah Products, where he performed process consulting for clients.  Tim also spent several years in business process development and client management consulting. 

Tim holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Chemistry and Molecular Biology from Texas Lutheran University; he earned a master’s degree in Chemistry and a MBA from the University of Houston.  Tim is a member of the Society of Tribologists & Lubrication Engineers.
