Miltos Papachristos appointed to Dorf Ketal Executive Board
Dr. Miltos Papachristos is appointed to the Executive Board at Dorf Ketal effective November 1, 2015 and named President and CEO, Global Fuels Additives with responsibility for leading the profitable growth of Dorf Ketal’s fuel additives business.
Miltos Papachristos has 30 years of experience in the fuels and fuel additives industry serving in numerous technical and commercial leadership roles. Miltos is a Chemical Engineer by training with a PhD in fuels technology from Sheffield University, England. Miltos holds a number of world patents on the development of detergents and combustion improvers in fuels.
Miltos started his professional career with the European Commission where he identified a number of renewable components to be blended to produce unleaded gasoline. Miltos then join Shell Oil Research in France where he recognised the complex relations between gasoline streams and additives, which led to Shell funding research in petroleum fuels additives to optimise their high performance fuels portfolio. Miltos Papachristos joined Innospec in the early 90s, where he was a key contributor to the development, testing and international approvals of the multifunctional detergent technology for Innospec. Miltos then spent 2 years managing a team of technology application experts supporting the global marketing of the Innospec specialty fuel additives technology portfolio. In 1988, Miltos moved to Singapore and lead the commercial development of the Innospec specialty fuel additives, personal care and aroma businesses in the Asia Pacific region. The leadership of Miltos Papachristos was then demonstrated in the successful integration of a number of acquisitions by Innospec in the area of heavy fuel oil treatment.
