Research & Development

Value addition through Research and Development, and translation of innovative processes chemistry into patents is a vital aspect of our vision. Our modern and well-equipped Research facility covers an area of 25,000 sq feet and is located near our plant in Mumbai.

Dorf Ketal routinely invests 10% of its gross revenues in Research. Dedicated and talented scientists form the core of our Research team. Our path-breaking efforts have resulted in the adaptation of many new technologies, manufacturing improvements and a clutch of valuable global patents. The R&D center is well equipped and includes a pilot plant for commercializing manufactured chemistry. The pilot plant is to produce a number of customized chemicals as per client requirements.

The research facility includes a pilot plant to ensure easy commercialization of the manufacturing chemistry. The R&D unit has already adapted several new technologies and introduced many manufacturing innovations that improve production, efficiency, and throughput. The Dorf Ketal R&D team is also geared to develop custom made chemicals to meet specific customer demands.

The R&D Center's current focus include:
  • Refinery Process Chemicals - Development of Surfactants, Dispersants and Detergents.
  • Petrochemicals - Development of corrosion inhibitors and antioxidants.
  • Lubricants - Development of Star Dispersants and Viscosity Index Improvers of high shear resistance.

With our primary manufacturing facilities at Taloja we also have production facilities in Brazil and the Middle East.
