June 4-5, 2014 - UTECH North America - June 4-5, 2014 - Dorf Ketal exhibited at UTECH North America in Charlotte, NC to promote its Unilink® and Clearlink® crosslinker and chain extender amine technologies used in Polyurea and polyurethane coatings and elastomers.

UTECH North America offered suppliers to the polyurethane market the opportunity to showcase their products, meet potential customers and source new business. Whilst visitors saw the latest products and technologies available, sourced new suppliers and learned about key issues in the conference.

The global polyurethanes market is expected to reach $55 billion by 2016, while the raw materials market (MDI and TDI) is expected to reach $22 billion. The main centers of this market are in North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific. The US polyurethanes market has an output of $19.4 billion, operates in 935 locations and generates 202,000 jobs.

May 1, 2014 – Coking.com Conference; “Finding Data in the Noise” is the title of the paper presented by James Noland, General Manager, Dorf Ketal Chemicals N.A.  at the Coking.Com conference in Galveston, Texas (April 29-May 2)   Dorf Ketal also exhibited to allow attendees ability to learn more about COKERMAX™, new technology to improve liquid yield 1% to 3% in Delayed Cokers. 

Coking.com is a coker community made up of DCU operator, mechanical and reliability technicians, maintenance and process engineers, supervisors and the whole spectrum of EPCs and vendors. Focus is on improving productivity by learning from each other's expertise.

April 1, 2014 - Ethylene Producer’s Conference - “Safer, More Effective Furnace Coking Control”  is the title of a paper written, and presented by Kyle Mankin at the 2014 Ethylene Producer’s Conference in conjunction with the 2014 AIChE Spring Meeting held in New Orleans, La (March 30-April 3, 2014).   Dorf Ketal also met with ethylene producers in the exhibition area, where information was provided about an environmentally friendly furnace sulfiding agent that helps users dramatically reduce CO formation while also extending furnace cycle length between de-cokes.
