April 26, 2015 – Austin TX;
 Look for Dorf Ketal representatives at this year's AIChE Spring Meeting/ Ethylene Producers Conference, April 26 - 30 in Austin.

The AIChE Spring Meeting is the year’s key technical conference for practicing chemical engineers. A wide range of subjects relevant to the current needs of industry is covered. Plus, GCPS (Global Congress on Process Safety) covers the critical needs of process safety practitioners more broadly and deeply than any other conference.

Several Dorf Ketal representatives will be attending the various sessions. Dorf Ketal has created a broad portfolio of solutions that deliver high-performance, efficient, and reliable results for petrochemical applications for ethylene, styrene and butadiene production. Featured prominently will be Dorf Ketal's ACtify™ styrene inhibitor technology program. ACtify™ increases reaction rates while adding a unique, retarder-like decay characteristic.  In commercial applications, our activated inhibitors have demonstrated reductions in polymer formation ranging from 40-65% in styrene distillation trains previously being treated by ‘industry leading’ inhibitors.

April 28, 2015 - Houston, TX:
Coking.com will be hosting its annual RefComm Conference May 4 - 8 in Galveston. Dorf Ketal will be bringing some timely relevance in line with this year's RefComm theme with it's innovative new chemistry, TANSCIENT™, which has been engineered to maximize return for reliable refining of high TAN opportunity crudes.

This year RefComm adds the unconventional hydrocarbon processing theme with shale processing and operations. North American unconventional oil and gas production has created massive volumes of feedstocks with chemistries not particularly known to refiners. The growth in production from light and tight oil plays has been so fast that infrastructure is still playing catch up. Join us in the Shale Hall or the Coking.com Hall and CatCracking.com Hall for unit specific discussions, as well as the breakout discussions and workgroups that make RefComm unique. The exhibition opens with a welcoming reception Tuesday evening. Exhibitors will be closely integrated with the Conference program with demonstrations and workshops during networking breaks.

The recent drop in crude prices has begun affecting refined product demand and margins. At RefComm, you’ll see how refiners are leveraging current assets to extend run lengths, reduce costs, and operate safely and profitably.

In addition to presenting at the conference, Dorf Ketal will also be exhibiting at Booth #102 at Moody Gardens Hotel and Convention Center

TANSCIENT™'s superior phosphorous efficiency means refiners may gain greater control of corrosion protection while significantly reducing risk in addressing variations in naphthenic acid composition.  TANSCIENT™ offers more effective passivation and ongoing protection with up to 80% less phosphorus than competitor HTCI products.  This is breakthrough chemistry and a true game changer for the industry.

Key benefits include:

  • Superior thermal stability and oil solubility
  • Maximum surface reactivity, more effective protection
  • Low acidity, does not require cooled slipstream for injection
  • Familiar, easy-to-implement phosphorus-based passivation
  • Reduces risk of phosphorus fouling and catalyst impairment

May 11, 2015 : Dorf Ketal will be presenting at the 13th Annual BBTC to be held in Istanbul May 14 - 15, 2015.

The annual Bottom of the Barrel Technology Conference is part of the Euro Petroleum Consultants International Downstream Week which also incorporates OpEx (Operational Excellence in Refining on May 11, Gas & Petrochemicals) and IDTC (International Downstream Technology & Strategy Conference) May 12 -13.  Attendees include heads of refining operations at major oil companies as well as general directors and engineers with regional refineries and petrochemical plants.

International BBTC is recognized as the leading global forum for residue upgrading with companies attending from all over the world. BBTC 2015 will discuss the latest market and technology developments, including case studies of the upgrading of existing facilities and implementing new strategies and equipment to maximize yields.

Dorf Ketal will be on hand to present key findings about its Visbreaker Antifoulant program and fouling control strategies to improve Visbreaker unit reliability to increase operating reliability and profitability.
